A New Brand for Our Next Chapter

Ten years ago, we launched Charrette Venture Group (CVG) with a clear purpose—to help architecture firms become stronger businesses. Over the past decade, we’ve worked with hundreds of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design firms; rolled up our sleeves on everything from operations to leadership coaching, and built a reputation for being the team you call when business gets complicated, stalled, or just a little chaotic.

The thought kernel that kickstarted CVG was that small and mid-sized design firms couldn’t afford to have C-level experts on staff (like the big firms), but they still deserved the same quality of guidance and support. So we assembled a team of AEC/MBA super-solvers and got to work.

For years, we’ve embraced the start-up culture and mentality. The team without ties. The team that promised NOT to make your design firm too corporate. Between us, we struggled to clarify CVG’s brand balance between established experts and people you wanted to invite to your firm’s lobster bake.

And while our CVG identity has served us well, we’re ready for the next chapter.

In French, avec simply means with. And that’s the essence of how we work:

AVEC reflects the way our clients already see us: not as distant consultants, but as true partners. (Plus, we love that the “AEC” in AVEC represents our passion for the built environment.)

We built the AVEC brand to reflect our personality—confident but approachable, fresh but not fleeting, bold but still grounded. AVEC captures that balance. Sharp enough to solve problems, approachable enough to trust, and vibrant enough to keep it interesting.

Changing our name doesn’t mean changing who we are. The values that define us—authenticity, kindness, flexibility, and hard work—aren’t going anywhere. Our team still brings the same data-driven insights, the same deep bench of industry experts, and the same sleeves-rolled-up commitment to action that our clients have always counted on.

We’re not stepping away from what made CVG successful. We’re doubling down.
