Redefining Consulting: AVEC Earns WBENC Certification

Becoming a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise is an exciting milestone for AVEC, but for us, it represents much more than a badge.

It comes at a meaningful moment in our company’s story as AVEC transitions into fully women-led ownership and leadership. Over the last several years, we’ve worked intentionally to build a company that reflects not only how we want to grow, but how we want to lead, partner, and show up for our clients.

We’ve always believed the best consulting relationships are collaborative, adaptable, and deeply invested in shared success. Over time, that philosophy evolved into what we internally call “The AVEC Way.” Derived from the French word avec, meaning “with,” our name reflects an approach rooted in partnership, transparency, and working alongside our clients rather than operating from a distance.

We also believe there is no universal formula for building a successful firm. Every practice, leadership team, and growth challenge is different, which is why our work is intentionally customized, thoughtful, and responsive to the realities of each client we support.

For us, WBENC certification reflects the leadership, resilience, and long-term vision we’ve worked hard to build, and it reinforces our belief that diverse perspectives make businesses stronger, more adaptable, and better equipped to serve their communities.

It also strengthens our ability to partner with organizations that value diverse opinions— something we believe creates better outcomes for everyone involved.

“This milestone reflects the kind of future we want to help shape within our industry: one where leadership is collaborative, expertise is shared generously, and success is measured not only by growth, but by quality, resilience, and long-term impact.” - Emily Hall, President, AVEC

We’re incredibly proud of this moment and grateful to the clients, collaborators, and team members who have grown alongside us. We’re excited for what comes next.

With gratitude,

Emily, Rena, and Valerie
